Part One
Safeguarding, child protection and the Prevent duty
Seven modules, each with a knowledge check, then a 41-question applied assessment built from placement scenarios rather than definitions.
Your role on a placement
What safeguarding means for someone who is in the building for one day, who to find, and what is expected of you before the children arrive.
Recognising abuse, neglect and harm
The four categories, the indicators, and the forms named in the 2026 edition, including violence against women and girls.
Responding, recording and reporting
What to do when a child tells you something, what not to promise, and getting it to the designated safeguarding lead before you leave the site.
Online safety and artificial intelligence
Nudes and semi-nudes, child-on-child abuse online, and the expectations the 2026 edition sets out.
KCSiE 2026 Part One
Read in full and confirmed. The condensed Annex A was withdrawn in the 2026 edition, so there is no shorter version any more.
The Prevent duty
What the duty is, whose duty it is, telling critical thinking from radicalisation, and referring a concern correctly.
Safe working practice
Professional conduct, low-level concerns, and how an allegation about an adult is handled when that adult came through an agency.
Part Two
Allergy and anaphylaxis
Five modules and a 12-question assessment. No other supply-specific safeguarding course we could find covers this at all.
Allergy safety and the duty on schools
What section 34 of the Children’s Wellbeing and Schools Act 2026 introduced, and what the July 2026 statutory guidance expects.
Understanding allergy
Food allergy, intolerance and coeliac disease, and the allergens likely to be in a primary school.
Recognising a reaction
Mild reaction against anaphylaxis, including anaphylaxis that presents with no rash at all.
Emergency response and adrenaline
Positioning, when and where to give an adrenaline device, the second dose, and why every child goes to hospital afterwards.
Your placement day
The seven questions to ask in your first fifteen minutes, mealtimes, craft and cooking, reporting a near miss, and allergy bullying.
On the allergy content, precisely
How the assessment works
All 53 correct, and you can try again
Every question must be answered correctly. Get one wrong and you are told why, in a sentence that teaches the point rather than just marking you down, and you try again. There is no limit on attempts and no penalty for using them.
The point is not to filter people out. It is that when the certificate says the candidate knows to lay a child flat and give adrenaline without delay, they do.
What is recorded
- Which modules were completed, and when
- That Part One of KCSiE 2026 was downloaded and confirmed as read
- Every answer, and the course edition it was answered against
- The certificate, its reference, and who it was sent to
A note on duration
Sixty minutes is the nominal CPD duration, which is the figure a CPD certificate carries. It is not a timer, and we do not claim that time spent on a page proves anyone learned anything.
Most people finish in under an hour. They can stop and come back, on a different device, and pick up where they left off.
A note on content
The course describes abuse and neglect of children, the death of a child, and medical emergencies involving children. Learners are told this before they begin, and given the NSPCC and Anaphylaxis UK helplines.
From £250 a year for up to 25 candidates
Preview it first if you would rather see it before you buy.
