Accessibility

Last updated 28 September 2026

Supply teachers and teaching assistants are a wide group of people using whatever device is to hand. If this website or the course does not work for you, that is our problem to fix, not yours to work around.

What we are aiming for

We are building this website and the course to meet WCAG 2.2 level AA.

What we have done

  • Every page works without a mouse. There is a skip link, and focus is always visible.
  • Text can be resized to 200 per cent without anything being lost or overlapping.
  • Colour is never the only way information is conveyed.
  • Pages are structured with real headings, in order, so a screen reader can navigate them.
  • Animation respects the reduce motion setting on your device.
  • The site works on a phone, and does not require a large screen.

What we know is not done yet

We have not yet completed a full independent accessibility audit. Automated checks pass, and we have tested keyboard navigation by hand, but a manual screen reader pass across every page is still outstanding. We would rather say that than imply a level of assurance we have not earned.

The course itself

The Supply Safe course is built to the same standard. If a candidate needs an adjustment, for example extra time, a different format, or help reading the assessment, tell us or tell their agency and we will sort it out. Nobody should fail a safeguarding course because of how it was built.

Tell us if something does not work

Email hello@supplysafe.co.uk or call 020 4577 4005. Tell us what you were trying to do, what happened, and what you were using. We will reply within one working day and tell you when we expect to have it fixed.
