Supply Safe

How it works

Four steps, and then it looks after itself

The whole point is that after the first upload you should not have to think about safeguarding training again until September.

  1. You, once a year

    Buy an annual allowance

Pick the band that covers your candidate list. One payment, one renewal date. Pay securely by card through Stripe and your agency account is set up as soon as it is confirmed.

  2. You, whenever you take someone on

    Invite your candidates

Add a name and email, or upload a CSV of the whole list. Errors are shown before anything is committed, so a bad column does not become 400 bounced emails. Each candidate gets their own secure, single-use link.

  3. Your candidate, about 60 minutes

    They complete the course

On a phone, a tablet or a laptop, in one sitting or five. Progress saves as they go, so they can start on the train and finish at home. All 53 questions must be answered correctly, with unlimited retries and an explanation every time they get one wrong.

  4. Automatic

    You get the certificate

The candidate gets their certificate, and a copy comes to your verified agency address at the same time. Your dashboard shows who has finished, who has not started, and who expires when.

What happens in September

The one date that matters

DfE republishes Keeping Children Safe in Education every September, and every safeguarding course in the country has to catch up. Here is how we handle it.

Mid-August

We read the new edition, including its summary of changes, and draft the updated course against it.

1 September

The new edition goes live. Anyone already part-way through finishes on the version they started, so nobody loses their progress.

Through September

Your renewal reminder tells you who expires on 31 August and what it will cost to cover them again.

Certificates are valid to 31 August 2027, aligned to the school year rather than to the date someone happened to take the course.
